The Leavenworth County Republican Party will host a Town Hall Meeting on Monday evening, February 6th, 7:00-9:00 pm. The meeting will be held at the Lansing Community Center, 800 1st Terrace, Lansing, KS.

Our guest speaker will be Representative Tom Arpke - District 69 (Salina area).  He will address the issues pending before the 2012 legislative bodies and provide insights on expectations for the session.  Tom is also running against an incumbent Republican for the Kansas Senate in the 2012 Election.  This will be a great opportunity to have your concerns over the issues of taxation, school finance, budget issues and many other hot-button issues discussed.

Our local State Representatives Jana Goodman-41st District, Connie O'Brien-42nd District and Owen Donohoe-39th District should be in attendance for you to talk with.  We are also fortunate to have other Representatives from around the area and candidates who are seeking office in the 2012 Elections attending as well.  It is a great opportunity to come out and meet them also.  This is your opportunity to let your representatives and other elected officials know your thoughts.

Make plans to be here with us. Town Hall meetings are open to all, so bring your friends and neighbors along. The Town Hall meetings serve as a forum to bring in guest speakers to discuss key topics, to inform and to educate voters on the issues. It also allows voters an opportunity to speak with their elected officials in a very relaxed and friendly environment.

Come join us, bring your family and bring your friends for an opportunity to learn about issues that directly affect you, in all aspects of your daily life.  We will have food items with tea and coffee for those who come early.
